Moon River (City Limits Jazz) - by Tonedr

This Ed Gerhard arrangement is one i fell in love with. I wanted to record it playing the Collings City Limits Jazz guitar. I tried to capture some of natural acoustic sound of this guitar as well as a bit of the pickup. I hope this video will help anyone interested in these amazing guitars to get a better idea of it's natural acoustic tone. Thanks for watching!

Hi Doc,

I have been retired for 3 years now and at 57 feel very fortunate. I own a few nice guitars and am one of those guys who refuses to pay $70 for a polo shirt even though I can well afford it. What is it about a Collings that makes you feel it is worth the high price tag? I own, supposedly, $25,000 in guitars but none worth more than $5,000 and most much less! Does the Collings, which I briefly played an acoustic in a shop, guitars really justify their cost? Thanks for your feedback!.

i suppose it's up to each person to decide if a guitar is 'worth' what you must pay to own it - i will say it's my impression that these are among the finest guitars ever built by any builder and i also am of the opinion i'm not alone in that opinion!
