  • Oh, BTW acid will damage you're grout too.

  • Acid will remove alkali buildup, but even full strength muriatic acid won't remove calcium. The customer already tried that method without success. The second part of your comment is correct though. That's why the pools we service are balanced weekly using "CSI" It's unfortunate that many pool boys don't understand water balance.

  • easier way of removing calcium deposit on tile is to use swimming pool acid mixed .half and half with water and using a tile cleaning brush,The tile will sparkle like new.To avoid future calcium buildup keep the water properly balanced.
