Suspicious guy casing my car

6/13/2007 14:146 - Some guy came driving up to my house and started to check out one of my cars. He called someone on a nextel phone while he was checking out the car, then he got back in his Expedition and drove away.

@Scruit Yeah I like watching your dashcam videos, I run one in my car as well. I find it funny you're having a discussion with skatecubed. It's as if he thinks it's perfectly normal for a stranger to start looking around your car. Good luck with him and keep up the videos!

@skatecubed I just wonder what is missing in your life that you have to launch a sustained attack on mine. Go out, meet people, get laid (doesn't count if you pay for it). I get it, you don't liker me and you think my videos suck. That's your right. I'll try to find some way of coping. In the meantime, ask yourself what it is about YOUR personality that make you incapable of walking away. I hope you find peace.

@kyogre6444 My house was burglarized many years ago and I installed CCTV cameras soon after that. Lost $5k in the burglary. Over time, through trial and error (mostly error) I self-taught most of the major CCTV concepts that apply to a home system. I'm an IT guy with software and electronics experience so most of this automation ports over directly from my job. From there I took it as a challenge to to more and more difficult camera installs. My car. I have a cam on my RC heli too.

@skatecubed I disagree with your "common sense" and think you're being a jerk trying to justify your arguments. Just like you and I have our first amendment speaking rights, Scruit has the right to put cameras wherever he wants to. My original question to Scruit was, "do you work for a camera company or something?". That was not meant for you to answer. I think you're being a jerk over the word "casing". If someone drove up my driveway and checked out my car, I'd be weirded out too.

@skatecubed If you know that I am "qualified" to call a person out on their lack of common sense, then why the need for your comments? I am well aware that I don't know everything about the road, that's one of the reasons I have a dashcam. I also know that 35 isn't that old, but if 16 is young and ignorant, wouldn't that make middle-aged people ancient? I may have only been driving for 3 months, and alive for 16 years, but that doesn't make me a clueless little child.

@kyogre6444 I am 35, not all that old, not old enough to forget what it was like when I was 16, I drive professionally, have been for nearly as long as you have been on this earth, and a few years before that as a 4 wheeler. I know just how much I didn't know what I was 16. After well over a million safe highway miles driving truck now, I realize there is a lot I don't know still,but I am qualified to call a person out on their lack of common sense, like the OP. You as well.

@skatecubed It's nice to see that the elderly population in our society seems to have lost all respect for teenagers. How is saying "he thinks he owns the shit" a little common sense? It's annoying and rude, and reflects very well on your personality. I am not a know-it-all. The fact that you have seen most of his videos and interjected a little "common sense" into the comments page shows that you sir, and the know-it-all.

@kyogre6444 I have not seen one of his videos yet that does not in some way defy common sense, making comments to that effect is not trolling, it is injecting a little common sense. If I were to do it with say, an account that had no history of existence, no videos, and inflammatory remarks that had nothing to do with the videos or channel, that would be trolling. I see that you are a dash-cammer as well. Nice to see that we have 16 year old know it all driving experts around.
