AK-47 combat zero and Red Dot

I took my AK out and got the iron sights and my Tasco Red Dot zeroed in.

nice video! When you were zeroing your iron sight, you said you adjust your windage with rear sight? I assume you have aftermarket rear sight? Since most factory rear sight can't move laterally IIRC. I recently added a red dot onto mine with the UTG side rail mount, but I don't like the height of it, I can no longer cheekweld onto the stock. I noticed you don't have your cheek press against the stock like you did with the ironsight. Does it bother you?

@gunluvS14 It's not an aftermarket rear sight, it's standard on this model. It's different from most AKs but more what I'm used to. As far as cheekwelding onto the stock it didn't bother me but I've removed the red dot and run the iron sights again. I'm looking into a more efficient way of mounting an optic, then I'll invest in an EOTech.

@semiautoriflelover I certainly need to, and I have better ammo than the Wolf to do it with. But the only real range I have here is closed for the time being. I can use my GPS to set myself 100m (the rifle is set in meters, not yards), but I'd like a nice bench to rest at. That crate sucked.

@42sergiog it depends on how far you plan on shooting if i was you just 0 it at 50 yards and a nother thing that may help you is MOA Which means Minute Of Angle Look it up on youtube there's plenty of the deals out there Just type what is MOA and how do I use it

When you zero in your scope/red dot do you have to change it when your shooting from different yards

i have a Airsoft ak47 in the style like your Real life counterpart.

does it weird you out or make you get used to mounting optics on the far front of the gun?

i had a reason to get a M4 style platform because of the area to apply optics.

but having the optics far front seems weird... im asking for opinions, thats all

@semiautoriflelover i will not sight any gun without the use of a gun vise, even a .22lr. i dont have a vise right now, but i borow someone elses. this way i aint wastin ammo, and when i shoot, im absolutly dead on every time, a gun vise might only cost you about 50-80 bucks, nice gun.
