Nearly a decade since the Asian financial crisis, the Association of South-East Asian Nations appears to have put its economic travails behind it. Now, in the face of new challenges such as the emergence of China and India, the region's leaders are seeking a distinctive international voice.
1) What progress has ASEAN made towards greater economic integration?
2) What concrete actions are regional leaders taking to resolve problems such as air pollution, bird flu and energy security? Are member nations willing to consider further political integration to meet these challenges?
3) Where are South-East Asia's opportunities - and challenges - as the economies of China and India continue dramatic growth?

president gloria is the best president among the past president of the philippines aside from Marcos, as you can see shes makes our economy grow in a fast pace for the past decades since the fall of marcos. Our Philippine currency Gain more appreciation against the US dollars, it reflects that our economy is growing and not decreasing like from the past President regime. President Gloria also an Economist, thats why we CEBUANO are Proud and love her so much! Mabuhay President GLoria!

Arroyo was an okay President. She can speak Spanish fluently. Her allegations had overshadowed her accomplishments. Ramos I think was better. But I will never forgive her for surrending part of Spratly islands to China! That was an act of treason to our country.

anybody in favor of ASEAN +6 ???? wtf.. .. india is ok to join, because they have a major influence on south east asian culture.. but new zealand and australia ? i dont think so.. they are not even part of asia.. and their culture is far away from south east asians..

Please, everyone. All ASEAN +3 leaders need to say no to +6, composing of also india, australia, and new zealand. India is fine since they're truly oriental asians. But i say no to australia and NZ, because they will only bring in westernize-european values,bring white supremacy(im not racist, but we true asian need our own), they will destroy ASEAN culture and politics,& finally they're purely caucasian. Australia has always been more interested in the west.

Go for ASEAN +4, & NOT +6

yes she is the best among the best corrupt leaders of my poor country.. very smart, because of prowess characteristics she even try everything just to remain in power,,, she tried to divide myt country by MOA but she failed because Filipino people are vigilant, now shes trying to change some of the provision of our Constitution just to remain in power.. how smart she is??
