Here is my really nice eeepc 901 where I have a 64gb ssd in since 2 days! :D
there is also a 32gb runcore secundairy drive in there and a 32gb sd card :O

It is great, but I was hoping it would be a bit faster during boot up then the original 4gb one :-(

But then again it is great to have rather much space on the 901 to put movies and musics and more on
it without running out of space in 3 minutes! :D

  • This SSD IS TOO SLOW.

  • @gpanos85

    No it is not :-)

  • what were the specs on that video file? Will it play 720p files; MKV?

    Thanks

  • Hello :-)

The video is 720 by 400!!

    what does mkv mean?

    :-)

  • @1walkgirl .mkv is a file extension, like .avi, that holds h.264 encoded video which is often used for HD video files. When I said '720p' I was referring to videos that are 1280x720. I was just curious how well they played with your Pro IV.

Actually, go to bigbuckbunny(dot)org and see if you can play any of the 1280x720 files that are marked "H.264" :-)

    Thanks for the reply!

  • I found them!, I will make a video from them playing soon! :-)

The 720 was okay, the 1080 wa sa bit chpooy :-(

  • You should check out "Soluto". I installed it and my boot time was a little over 3 minutes, and now it's less than 2. (I have a 5400 rpm. REALLY considering swapping this 250GB hdd, for a 64gb ssd because I really don't need that much space. i just browse the web and edit videos.

  • If you werent running a virus scanner on that poor little netbook it would be a lot faster :)

  • Takes me about 50 seconds to boot up win7, but I never really use that: what's nice is that I can set it to hibernate and that will only take 20sec. to turn off/on and go into windows. Very nice. I freakin' love this SSD.

  • @1walkgirl Thanks for that. I'm not all that concerned with the 1080p files, as I don't really have many files that big. I do have 720 files that I'd like to output to a TV though.

I did order the 32GB version of the same SSD, so I'm really looking forward to it!
