I've loaded as many as 72 rubber bands before, but it could probably hold more. Rubber bands are loaded in mutiples of 12, since it has twelve barrels. The more rubber bands loaded onto the mechanism, the more stress on the parts. Too many rubber bands might damage the parts. Since this gun is a one-of-a-kind prototype, I have avoided overloading it since I don't want to damage it.
