@princessthyemis I'm going to say this having only read the first few issues of FMA, but I think you might like this one. it is less fantastic (in the sense that it's more science-y) than FMA, but there are super soldiers and the such. It tries to remain optimistic while examining how hard it would be for a world with such elements to adapt to peace.

I really wish this series would have a second season. I finished the first season today on Hulu.com, which has the complete season episodes. It is a very good series, and anybody who likes Full Metal Alchemist would like this too.
