12-string Guitar: Shlathery's Mounted Foot (Including lyrics and chords)

The words and tune to this song were written by Percy French in 1889. It was written thirty years before there was a national Irish Army and was not meant as a political satire, but as a "purly comic song of great life and spirit." I remember hearing it on the radio when I was young and loving the jaunty chorus and it has been a pleasure for me to find it and play and sing it myself. Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you so much for performing and posting this. My mother, God rest her soul was from Co. Kerry. She played this song at least once a week when I was growing up in NY. The record was lost and I have never been able to find the recording or a decent rendition of this song. This brought back many happy memories. Thank you.
