It was interesting to learn that girl wrestling was actually first introduced to Japan by a team of American girl wrestlers, doing a global vaudeville circuit as I remember, back in 1919 shortly after the Great War...but it never really caught on at all until about the 1950s. And it has been with them ever since.

Just as in the ECW, WWE, NWA and other pro wrestling organizations, the members have to have great physical conditioning to keep from accidentally getting hurt while performing their acts. I still remember Fabulous Moolah, and The Farmer's Daughter, from the 50's and 60's. Only the costumes have changed.
