I've been really impressed by this series, but my beef is with their explanation of taxes. The roads, bridges, parks, etc. are all paid for by property taxes, gasoline taxes, etc.; not by the Federal income tax. Frankly, nobody except the IRS actually knows exactly what happens to our Federal income tax (enter Ron Paul).
All interstate highways are maintained by the Federal Goverment through Income Taxes. The Obama Stimulus package, paid for with Federal Income Taxes goes, in a small part to the building of bridges and new roads and in a much larger part to special interest groups. State highways are paid for by state taxes, Locals streets by your local taxes. Federal taxes were not intended to do this as Ron Paul states but very little in the Federal Government is doing what is was intended to do.
Some peoples view of economics is actually this simple. Usually those who complain about that people should read eco 101, because they haven't read any further than that themselves.

I wonder if I showed this to my little sisters if they would stop hounding my mom about how she spends her money...
