Passion Fruit and Holy Bread perform Arise as part of a 1993 session for ITV's late night music show The Beat, presented by Gary Crowley (exact broadcast date unknown, venue unidentified).
Apologies for the couple of audio drop outs and video glitches, they are due to the condition of the VHS source.

  • @thorrip76 hah, i remember that show, was really good! they played a song called "the blue" which was excellent.

  • Good to hear this again, I was in a band called filth! and did a few gigs with these chaps around 1990-1 around Lincs. Have this on an EP as well somewhere with Jonah.

  • i think i've decided Silver Screen, Losers and National are my fav PFAHB tunes

  • suicide lifelines was astounding. Good gig in the Falcon i remember.

  • The singer's name is Sam Hazeldine. The band later metamorphosed into "Mover", also a great band which had some success and made several CDs.

Sam Hazeldine is now an actor, and I have seen him in loads of things on TV.

He also does the voice- over on the Nissan ads and lots of documentaries. He's still got a great voice obviously.

  • The singer... why have I forgot his name, is the Son of the chap JamesHazeldine ..Bayleaf, who used to appear in Londons Burning. I did not chat too much to him ..he was always too busy chatinup the ladies..with Jonathan Kerrigan... a good friend , keyboardist of INERTIA of that time..who ended up in HEARTBEAT TV series...! Nick

hey ho a bit of passion Fruit and Holy Bread Trivia..

ALSO.. I have both of there EP sindles Crush and Jonah on CD... REALLY MISS THOSE SOUNDS AND THE RIFT IN "SKY"

  • Just thought I would say that I knew FELIX the bass player and Justin the guitarist quite well..... I was / am Spikey Nick from The Lemmings... we used to play sometimes together in Lincoln at gigs 1991-1993 before Passion Fruit and Holy bread got their record deal with Splendid record..... A great band that really should have gone places.....

There best songs were..SKY, Jonah and Suicide lifelines.... miss those times guys.... Nick...not BaD ASS Barton the other one!
