  • Chris Cutler could be re-classified as a liquid the way he plays! And say what you will about how Slapp Happy was cruelly dissolved by Henry Cow, Dagmar's voice is perfect for their music.

  • @StMikey Dissolved ? No surprise, with a liquid drummer :) But as far as I know, Slapp Happy has published some records after Henry Cow disbanded (did someone listened to them ?)

  • The riff that begins 4.40.

    Is it in 9/8?

  • @Hyardacil as far as I remember, it's a bit irregular with several time signature changes

  • If one was a prog-whore in the early 70's-- we all wanted to sleep with Dagmar....

They are probably the Beatles of prog-classical-rock music ever...Maybe Magma is on their level...others fall by the way-side...

  • @mitzjob King Crimson maybe ?

  • @BernardMontmartre

Crimson was essential, and changed my life. Henry Cow is better.

  • @Hyardacil its a bar of 7/4 then 13/8

  • @Hyardacil As far as my theoretical knowledge goes, I counted 10/8, 9/8, 10/8, 10/8, 9/8. Or something like that...

  • lovely to watch Cutler play. He doesn't so much as play drums as use surfaces as a means of ballet dancing with his arms

  • I saw Henry Cow when they played Chelmsford in about 1971. Can't remember the line up but I thought they were all male. The band outnumbered the audience but it was a good night anyway- except for the promoter who must have lost out big time.

  • Bravo si ils etaient jeunes et amateurs on les aurait inviter au fir festival intnational de roquetoire !

  • Música inteligente para gente inteligente

  • @MarsNova yes, this is from the DVD, I forgot what it's called
