Hand Fed Baby Caiques 2-6 weeks old

The babies are all doing terrific.

I wanted to mention again this week that I promise this baby screaming will eventually stop. I don't know why baby caiques make this sound, but they do. My reasoning behind it is that they have so much energy they have to expend it some way and as small babies the screaming is the way they do it. As they get older they start moving around and playing and tumbling and they use up their energy in that way instead of the squeeking. That is just my opinion.

All of the lime thighs have new parents and 3 of the white bellied caiques have new parents.

@javpups  Yes, the parents injured her in the nest box. She is completely healed though and she gets along normally so far. We will see how it goes when she is old enough for a cage.

Dolly was mesmerized all through the video. She certainly knows a caique when she hears and sees one. She is becoming accustomed to seeing them naked! Love your videos, Rita, and so happy the one little baby has a momma waiting for her. Great news - and she seems to be walking very well. <*)
