NaturalBushcraft reviews the Svord Peasant Knife. Made with New Zealand steel, this simple folding knife is quick and easy to open with just one hand. The size of the blade (3") and the fact that the blade dosen't lock makes it a UK Legal carry. Justin gives his thoughts on how to customise and improve this wonderful little knife.

  • I recently bought one of these, just like the one in the video. Paid $16.00 U.S. + a ridiculous $5.00 shipping. I'm not very impressed. Mine seemed like it had been used. It seemed to have some blade wear, and the blade wasn't very sharp. I should have returned it for another, but like a dummy, I didn't. I haven't used it yet, but I think after I sharpen it, I'll find it does what I ask of it. There are many modern folders out there that are better. I bought this mostly for the novelty.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN We addressed the out of factory quality in the video, but for the price what can you expect? The fact that the quality of steel is fairly good, the style fairly unique and yes you might have to sharpen it yourself and tweak the handle if you wish but this makes it truly your own knife, an item you've customised and then it's worth a lot more.

Take a look at my EDC video if you haven't already.

  • omg! what is the big deal about this knife? a knife that looks like a shaver back in the days. dont tell me your gonna pay umpteen hundreds for this one. get a damm lock blade,

  • @jan1761 lol! It's simple, functional, good steel and a useful shape, legal UK carry and no it doesn't cost hundreds, it costs a mere £14.95 so why wouldn't you?

  • @NaturalBushcraft my god i feel sorry for you guys over there. and americans cry about every little things here. they just dont know how good we got it here. hey more power to you mate!!

  • @TheBoodle23 It's difficult to say. The law states that the cutting edge must be under 3" long not the blade, and non locking. If the cutting edge is less than 3", and it doesnt lock - which it doesn't - then it should be legal. Mind you, I wish you luck explaining that to the average copper.... Of course, if the Police want to do you for it, even if it's legal then they will simply use a different law to do so. Carrying a concealed/offensive weapon are the two that come to mind.

  • @shawn4201111 Yes.

  • @NaturalBushcraft is it convex ground?

  • @nephildevil a little trick with screws is to put a little flexible glue on the thread and screw them in,this will hold them tight but if you want to unscrew them you can!! i use evo stik serious glue thats the brand name but any of those rubbery type glues work just fine

  • @NaturalBushcraft its not New Zealand steel its Swedish high carbon steel they import it sorry if this has already been mentioned, you should check out the 'Von Tempski' bowie they make!! its awesome ive just got one and made a sweet sheath for it coz im a lefty
