In a matter of hours the ship and crew will be consumed by a nearby star and the crew of the Enterprise will be consumed by an mysterious horror that threatens both ships as the Klingons watch and wait. Guest starring Evan Fowler and introducing Bobby Rice as Ensign Peter Kirk, nephew of the Captain. Written & Directed by David Gerrold. Teleplay by Carlos Pedraza. Episode filmed in June of 2007.

I really love this episode, it's so well put together. I expected it to end tragically for those two, but how I didn't know until it happened. Anyway, I have yet to finish this so I'll keep watching.

my grandfather was built like robert conrad from his heyday in the wild, wild west and he was always asking me to wash his back while he was bathing. how embarrassing. i'm twenty years old sponging off my grandfather and his sturdy submarine is tilted upright. i felt like some geisha in a massage parlor. what a revoltin development that was.

for some reason i'm not sad. i know that dr. mccoy has some of alex's blood refrigerated and it will occur to spock and captain kirk that the only to cure his nephew's deep depression and heartbreak is to bring alex back. true love never dies. it's indestructible. true love may be delayed, but it cannot be destroyed. love will always find it's way even when it's denied and even when it's suppressed and even when it's locked deep down in hearts. true love never ends even in deep space.
