This is a short participatory video based on a community map detailing the Wuhu region of the Chungba Valley. It was created by a team of students from the Chungba Primary School and facilitated by Cecil Matthai Esquivel-Obregon.
BACKGROUND
Nestled deep in the heartland of Kham, Chungba is a rural Tibetan township in which a broad-based effort is underway to revitalize the local community through education and capacity-building. The 5000 residents in the valley are tied to a predominantly subsistence economy most residents grow their own tsampa and herd livestock in high pastures.
