Sending it in for repair today, My BlackBook keeps freezing randomly, shutting down on its own, and making some patterns on the screen. This is the first mac i have ever had a problem with. It already gave me a year of flawless service and it seems like apple is going to help me out anyway they can to fix the issue

  • My old laptop has patterns like that on the screen (but smaller, colored and concentrated to the right). Turns out that the LCD ribbon cable is crapping out after many times of opening and closing the lid.

Does the OS still respond while those bars are there?

  • nope, it freezes everything up, kinda like a kirnal panic does. im taking it to the repair dude right now, good thing i still gots the one year manufactures guarantee

  • right now i whould say something bad about Macs , but cant, never used one,lol

  • Dead motherboard it looks. Or graphics card. I think my jerk brother is going to be the destrution of mine. The neck on the macbook snaps everytime i open the lid. FTW what a jerk

  • "Mac never crash, i never have bluescreen anymora" - Some Apple advert.

Mac scrashes in many diffrent ways ;) Two types of Kernel Panic, Black Screen of Death, Beach Ball of Death (or Doom ;)), Freezes and not responding etc. Here we have completly new type of crash - Kernel Panic the Third ;) Thats why - test by your own, dont trust commertials. I was forced to use Mac too. Now i use PC with Windows 7, no crashes in almost 4 years. If its a virus, Apple lies again saying "Mac has no viruses"

  • WTF

  • I think this is a virus or a crash.

  • @smashingstuff09 actually your wrong. Macs are cheaper than their pc counter parts. find a pc with the exact hardware and apps that can do what the apple apps can do out of the box. and your pc will cost more than My Mac. this has been proven time and time again. do some research. you will see Macs are the cheaper choice and they are also better. there is even a video from a local news station stating this on youtube somware. cant remember the name but do some research. ule see.

  • @MrGizmo757 Well i dont hate Mac's because iv never used one over 20mins i just dont like the price of them ther not worth it.

  • @smashingstuff09 its still hardware. all hardware fails once and a wile. but compared to your other choices i still stand By the Mac. i am not a fanboy so don't think of me like that. i own a few pc's i just know what works best. My mac runs windows 7 better than My gaming rig dose. i know what i like and i will stand by it. thats all.

  • @MrGizmo757 The one at the school quit working today...

  • @smashingstuff09 i'll put My Mac up against anything you have any day.

  • Thats Mac for ya always fuckn up. hahaha
