John 19:30
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, It is finished. With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

I was asked to preach on this verse on Good Friday, April 3, 2010.

  • @Pogsel The task to open the door to Heaven and build the bridge to the Father that allows one to escape from the depths of Hell--that was finished. His mission was finished. His life was finished--it all meant so much and it was just one word. Feel free to message me--maybe I can make some videos for your questions. God bless!

  • @AngelaPrrfecta When Jesus said, "It is finished: and gave up the ghost," what was it that was finished? ..... This format prevents me from fully asking the questions I have for you. Not enough characters :(

  • @Pogsel I believe that belief in Christ opens up the door to let the Spirit work inside a believer. True belief is confessing with your mouth and and believing in your heart. Of course, there is more that a believer must do, but those steps aren't alone--that's with that eternal guide.

  • "We need do nothing?" "All we have to do is believe?" Didn't Jesus say, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23. Isn't this something necessary to do as a Christian? And don't "the devils also believe"? James 2:19. Are they saved because they "believe?"
