Mr. Shirley,
PLEASE, stop using that laser pointer. It is NOT a good choice for someone with unsteady hands. Remember those wooden pointer sticks with the rubber pointed tip? That's the ticket! Lose that laser pointer. It is very distracting to the message you are trying to convey. Laser pointers are best used only when pointing to something that is far away from your own arms reach with a pointing stick. Outside of that, they are a toy that diminishes credibility, comprehension, etc.

referring from the (Understanding The Numbers): Is indoor wetbulb the indoor ambient temperature? Eventhough, the superheat dropped lower the 2nd readings nearly half which is @ 18 degrees isn't that still on the high side? Shouldn't the super heat be somewhere under 10 degrees? if so, how would you repair and what was the problem. Your response is greatly appreciated. By the way this is a wonderful video. Thank you.

I was taught that you can measure voltage at both sides of the contactor because of the resistence through the coil.

i found the other day that the outdoor condensing unit / heatpump was off. i found wall stat calling for AC at 88 dergree indoor temp indoor blower running. contactor not pulled in. muliti meter check from C - R outside shows me 27 VDC from C- Y shows 27 VDC. why does multimeter show me 24v voltage between Common and red terminal but there is not really voltage there even at the air handler board inside same thing replaced T-STAT and problem is fixed just.

@kodd13. Check out Ultimate Technical Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas. I spent two weeks there and it was the best training I've ever had. The instructor is even a member of the NATE board. That should tell you how smart he is.

great video. 99% of reversing vavles are in the heating mode when de-energized. There are a few exceptions, Climate Master being one.

anyone here who graduated from a hvac school no if the schools are teaching right because seems like all my schools around here including the one im in are shit, its just seems like im not ganna be able to get a job when i get out, and most that there teaching seems pointless
very good. the best hvac/r techs are the ones who are electronically enclined. elecrical components are 80% of system problems these days.
i would be excited to have you on my team.
