Test of the MHX rig and the mocap and lipsync tools in a production-like environment. But in the end I learned a bit about fim-making in Blender, too.

  • Most of these comments are not only missing the point, but verge on being moronic. The guy does not claim to be an animator, he is a physicist and member of the MakeHuman development team.

The video is a demonstration of the new (free) MakeHuman/Blender animation technology and if these commentators had the vaguest idea of what this video is demonstrating, they would want to use it to make their own games and videos

Personally I think he and the rest of the MH team are pure genius.

  • LOOOL AT MOTION CAPTURE... manly keyframing for the win!

  • Downloaded Makehuman yesterday, have not found many actual animations searching YT sofar, that yhis was done in Blender really impresses me, I have played a bit with it in Carrara and iClone but my keyframed animations are nothing short of hideous!

  • MakeHuman is an awesome tool to make quick 3d human characters, supports hair and clothing and the best thing is that it is open source. I see a future competitor to Poser :)

  • it's a little buggy, but quite impressive cooperation between the two programs. and being able to make a quick base human form is really sweet, this cuts my webcomic/animations time in half. Even if I do have to add and subtract to it to make the models fit my comic it's worth downloading. :)

  • Am I the only person who laughed at this?... The moccarana at the end had me in tears

  • @irvinehimself I have to agree. The MakeHuman and Blender are two great programs. When they added the mhx mocap function in the software as well, it became even greater. Yes, the finished project is a little amateurish on the animation side, but when you take into account the genius of the two softwares working together like this, it is quite impressive. Keep up the great work!!!!

  • With all the effort of thinking, fiddling, programming, and the like.. I am MIGHTLY impressed with MH Team for creating such incredibly complex programming to produce this feature into MH software. THe MHX export file, which was then imported into BLENDER looks mightly confusing, but however, if i dissect enough, i should be able to learn more about Rigging and such from this. Congrats guys (and gals.. just in case i dont get me head kicked off.. lol)

  • @irvinehimself Well said.

This is very raw, in the hands of an animator this tech will rock!

  • 0:30 this is michael jackson after he finished whitening up and just after he changed his sex too.

Srsly, this is as sexy as MJ could walk.

    Yes, he's walking again.

  • Was this made with a potato?
