they were the only station in all of new orleans in fact all of the United States, with the exception of CNN who had live streaming video of their coverage of Hurricane Gustav for 24 hours before and after the storm

This open is well-matched to WWL's product... hard news, but not sensational. WWL currently uses the "Always Worth Your Time" music, which is fine... but the theme in this clip better matches the open.

WFAA and KHOU, sister stations of WWL had live continuous coverage on their websites and also on both of their digital channels.
