@gent226 They weigh under 3000 pounds and only lose like 10-14% to drive train loss. and they have a 2.4L 4 cylinder which is kinda big , look how much power one of those Evolutions make and this engine is bigger. No replacement for displacement. My close friend has an SRT4 makes over 400WHP i own a BMW M3 95 on corners i kick his but on straights he owns my life lol. its all about tuning man. ive seen little engines with right tune and build walk other cars, but it is just a highway car FWD.

@IamTheOB yeah man Porsche might have launched better but like you said once that SRT hooked in 3rd it blew that things doors off, granted if it where a real circuit track the SRT would only have a chance in the straight where the porsche will walk around the SRT in the corners but its a street tuner car the SRT its for fun highway pulls and sporty feel with BIG BALLS id like to see one properly corner balanced with BBK on it, the stock brake system is too tiny and weak for the power levels.

This vid is not weird, or bullshit in any way. Go read up a bit. A 996 is not a gay ass cayman, aka boxster hardtop. It is a CARRERA 996. An updated and upgraded version of the 911. An SRT4 with a 60 trim owns just about everything it comes up against. Off the line, fwd will be their disadvantage as you can CLEARLY see in the video. Can you not hear it spinning from launch all the way to halfway through 3rd in the 2nd race?! No way in hell that 996 hangs once the SRT got traction. PERIOD.
