Boyds' Gunstock Industries Founder and President, Randy Boyd, gives you a first hand introduction to the popular Ross Featherweight Thumbhole (FT) stock.
NOTE: Due to the many variations among models and tolerances that factories may or may not routinely adhere to, some minor fitting may be required, even on our fully finished drop-in parts. Although seldom, you must be willing to make these changes. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE MAKING ALTERATIONS PLEASE CONTACT A LOCAL GUNSMITH.

  • Big question here. Are you planning on coming out with a tacticool or laminate Savage AXIS stock? if so, when, and if not, do you guys do custom inletting to one of your current stocks?

I really, really think you should make one. Not just because a lot of people want them, but because a lot of people would buy them. I know a ton of people who want one. also, NOBODY else makes them. If you do make them, I can promise you, I will be one of the first to buy one! No matter what color or type.

  • @boydsgunstocks Mr. Boyd I love my setup I did with your stock on my savage 30-06 I will post a video of it soon... I put a sick ass carl Zeiss scope on it.. It's way too much for it but its hella cool.. I even was happy with the black scope and stainless steel barrel I wasn't sure if it would look good cause I didn't want the silver scope and I'm happy w it.. everyone looks at it and is like wow thats a sick sniper lol

  • I would love one of these for my CZ 527, is it possible to get one for it?

  • @boydsgunstocks Ah, ok. Gotcha. Welp, I got a little time before I'm on schedule for another purchase. And I'm a lefty so I'm still deciding if I'll go standard or buy based on what you have available for left handed stocks. But I WILL be buying something. Your stocks are too durn purdy to not have one :) real talk.

    Thanks!

  • @ThatDudeSirraj Sorry, I misspoke. Actualy, it is the trigger group on the bottom side of the stock that seats too far back and would interfere with the pistol grips of our stocks.

Sorry if that sounds too confusing, it's the best explaination I can give,

  • @boydsgunstocks Thanks for the response but now I'm curious. What plastic are you refering to? Is part of the reciever plastic?!?! That scares me a little. I was thinking once the stock was removed it should be all metal. Please enlighten me.

  • @ThatDudeSirraj There is just too much plastic on the Axis Rifles. We aren't gearing up for these at this time.

    Sorry!

  • @boydsgunstocks Welp its been 6 months and those Axis rifles are getting pretty popular. Any production runs in mind. Im sure me and a few thousand other people fond of the FT Thumbhole would pick one up in a heart beat!!! Please say yes!
