He should've cramped the wheel to the left and pulled away like that! It'd probably not drag alongside the streetcar, and would've reduced the damage to both vehicles. The back end of the bus would've swung away instead of what happened here.

LOL!... This is what happens when Rob Ford cuts off 10% of their funding!

If you can swerve to avoid a tram, you give way, don't you?

i noticed it alot thesedays.. TTC drivers are horrible.. they cut in without signals.. they run on red lights..

point proven for me check out my video on this exact topic. Damn street cars

@Renard380 Running both vehicles in reverse slowly makes sense to me too. The bus would have steered slightly away and that would be that.

@rts9100 You are so right. Stop running lights. Look around. They are not hard to miss.

@SCOEN You think that is bad. In Houston we set a record on light rail collitions. Over 200 since METRO started it in 2004. Last year in February a bus knocked a rail car of the tracks. Guess what, she ran the light. I'm glad she got suspended w/o pay. It is said that Houston has the most accident prone light rail system in America. Nice rep huh.

why cant the bus go forward?

Union problems at its best. Instead of firing the lot of them they got compensation for their stupidity.
