@majch The only battles I lose is when people archer-spam. In low numbers, archers are pretty ineffective, and it seems the only thing they're good at is taking out the enemy archers. But once, I got a crushing defeat due to the simple fact that I had 3 archers and my enemy had 6. A cheap army would be cavalry and archer spam. Archers to take out everyone and cavalry to take out everyone who comes near the archers.
