A rare insight into how Fiona Hyslop's office worked with Learning Teaching Scotland to get us where we are in terms of assessment.

  • I don't get it. Is this mocking Hyslop's attitude or the teachers afraid of the freedom we got?

  • I like my shiny green folder. We use ours when the TP runs out and we're expected to drip dry. Hope the next version is more absorbent tho!;)

  • "That's all they've written. It's in crayon."

  • Came from Australia - they have binned the idea - Talking about the Emperor's New Clothes - well - I am the wee boy in the crowd.

  • Every school should have 400 xboxes for all the knuckleheads who don't wanna learn - they're gonna be fukkin lifetime unemployed anyways + a boxing ring for the hardcases to knock each other's brain cell out. The rest of the kids can then get on with it in peace. All the union bosses, education Hitlers and politicians who agreed to this load of scheisse should be sent to the front line in Afghanistan and put on the IED detection/defusing detail wearing rollerskates.

  • @1scot4scotland "ordenary" "embarrased" "DISEAS" "optamism" "terable" - if anything, you alone are more of an embarrassment to the Scottish education system...

  • I'm scottish and I've noticed the comments

are from a lot of teachers and ordenary scots.

Can I just say I'm almost embarrased! This video

breeds negative attitudes and negative comments

by the bucket load. Negativity in scotland

Is a DISEAS! Lets have some optamism about

Something new (CFS), the stautus quo (below)

    looks bloody terable!

  • I have a shiny green folder. It would be nice if it came with an Outcomes & Experiences showhorn too.

  • Teachers: scared of having to learn a whole new curriculum without their nice ticky box assessment tools and get their head round a new concept. Having been a product of the 5-14 and in the process of learning the curriculum for excellence, it is a welcome change. Forcing teachings to incorporate other subjects and use their imagination? That should be a good teacher anyways! Now you can show you actively do this! Negativity is pointless and that attitude will rub off onto your learners.
