Animated Exeter presents a unique, ground-breaking audiovisual event for the 2011 festival. Exeter Cathedral, the most recognisable building in the city has dominating it's skyline since 1114. Visual artists Tundra*; have created a luminous narrative, in animated graphics, incorporating mythology and symbolism and referring to Exeter's rich history. This will be projected on the north front of the Cathedral for three nights. This son et lumiere experience will be complemented by visual effects created by students from i-DAT, the Digital Research Group at the University of Plymouth. They have worked closely with Tundra* and the techinical teams to create this unmissable experience and in a recent scoop, it has just been confirmed that Beth Gibbons the lead singer of Portishead will compose a score to accompany the projection.
