@TheInsomniac97 "She wasn't hit, that takes a lot of control" ... Are you fking kidding me.

@TheInsomniac97 very well said...

look at michael with the red seattle shirt near 1:48 and look at cameron crowe at 5:32 with the ski jacket and tell me who chose a guy based on looks and who chose the man who could talk/manipulate better? nancy and michael would have made a better pair producing gorgeous blond children.the only way heart sold out was if nancy married crowe who was another "music writer-insider" who has no skill with music as a way to get a record deal
micheal was passive roger was aggressive opposite attract

ann and nancy never held a gun to roger's head telling him he could not go make great hard rock guitar music in the 1980s. it makes me think he was doing drugs in the 1980s or something not productive. what was he doing in the 1980s? this was a professional music entity that had to evolve not a fling that needed to be saved.
and the fling with american blues needs to break up too because it has hurt heart and their fans even though heart is pressured to include blues by the music industry.
-
i' want to know if roger was involved with bebe le strange as he was fired 11/79 and le strange was out early 1980?
rockin heaven down and strange night are the best songs off the album. does roger deserve any credit for these songs?their 1980s GH release had no excuse to exclude rockin heaven down but include black blues songs like arron neville and righteous brothers songs while excluding "rockin heaven down" and "love alive." i guess it was racist to not include a black or 50s song back then
-
without their 1985-1988 years they would have been forgotten. the hall of fame is a circus freak show full of clowns, rappers who cannot play one instrument, and swamp mud african blues artists.
my advice to ann and nancy to to go back to making power rock and if you are called a nazi because you did not incorporate american blues into it tell them to fuck off like you told all the men who tried to shaft you in the past to fuck off.
hall of fame is full of blacks with a few white clowns.

brigade is polluted with delta blues and swampwater music and grunge before it was called grunge. it is just like their 2004 and 2010 releases except with keyboards.
the only song i like is "i love you" with the 17th-18th century classical european sound. and now in 2011 do like " all i want to do" but their target audience should have been people in the 20s in 1990 not women in their late 30s. brigade should have been power rock with nevison not mud blues and swamp hag music.
-
private audition is a diamond compared to brigade. with the exception of heart's 1993 release, everything made by everyone since 1990 has been crap.
-
privation audition was released when reagan was in office and hollywood reinvented a 1920-1940s look heart put on some of their picture which did not resonate with young people if "cities burning" was chosen to be the main hit and was given radio play it would have done better. first 4-5 months of 1982 was a dead zone for music not seen until rap became mainsteam
@upstart555 Although I totally agree with you about the band sucking w/o Roger, I can't buy the forgiveness thing. It's not like she was 1000 miles away at home. Sh had the same opportunities as a rock star herself so if she didn't cheat he shouldn't have either and a break up was a fair cost. Dating another band member though was whorish and cruel punishment. I think he handled it very well, she wasn't hit, that takes a lot of control. Some time off may have been all they needed.
