On 23 April, 2009 the public may view never-before-seen material of author and activist Alice Walker in
a newly created exhibit at Emory University. In this preview, the award winner writer of "The Color Purple'
views papers, photographs and objects from 1944 to the present that now reside at the university's Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) in the Woodruff Library. The exhibit is free and remains until 23 September, 2009.
