    It is always better to educate yourself before you speak. You may be young and you may have been ignorant of that, but this girl sings soul music because she LOVES it. She understands it. She idolized it growing up. Furthermore, they way you defined generic is out of context. Furthermore, you'd have to be tone deaf to know that Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lianne La Havas, and Beyonce sound the same. Likewise, this young girl has her own voice . Simply, respect that.
