what drivers does it needs to work with pci cards?
Is it platform-independed and recognized as that much more PCI slots on the computer.
Does it works on Linux for servers?

it requires no driver in order to work with PCI cards. The driver that you need to install is for the PCI card that you put in the PE6R4-I. The Expansion PE6R4-I connects to a Host Computer via a Host PCIe interface card. ALLOWING THE COMPUTER to communicate with the PCI cards.
It works on Linux Server.
