Right then....someone's going to have to clean up the mess and there's no use putting it off. I think we need to get a load of volunteers, many hands make light work, so they say....... First of all...we need a big boat..........
I'm pretty hopeless about this situation. There is no way that any government will have the means or the inclination to try and fix this problem. And as long as people care more about what they look like and what they are going to buy, no one will want to do anything except the underwhelming minority of environmentally aware citizens.
Put very well. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to completetly rid one's self of plastic in such an industrialized world. The most feasible solution has to be to minimize use while researching and utilizing alternative resources that are more sustainable.
This is a HUGE problem. No wonder fish stocks are shrinking worldwide. The poor critters are choking on our plastic. And the ones we catch and eat transmit the plastic back to us. Kind of poetic justice there. There's a verse in Revelation, chapter 11, verse 18 that resounds in my head every time I realize again how much mankind has screwed up this planet. It says the Lord will, upon His return, "destroy those who destroy the earth'. Now that is poetic Justice with a capital J.
anyways. I really love learning about this situation. made me really think about earth and the life that's on it.
personally, I would love to help out and everything, but I don't know where to start. me and my family don't buy bottled water (thank god)
but we do throw away a lot of plastic bags =( we don't know what to do with them. and I would love to pass this video around, but people don't give a shit about things like this. society is pathetic...

That's the only solution. Every product is surrounded in plastic that fuels this problem.
