Forrest (age 9) performs at the 2010 National Trumpet Competition! (Hummel Concerto, 1st mvmt)

Forrest is in third grade and turned 9 a couple of weeks before the competition. He was one of 9 semifinalists in the Junior Division (under age 16/grade 10) selected to audition live in the semifinal round on March 12, 2010. He qualified for the competition based on a tape of the same piece submitted in December 2009. Forrest had a great time at NTC and is already planning for next year's competition!

wow im impressed, his tone is amazing and hes holding his trumpet correctly and not doing anything to affect the intonation such as pointing the bell of his trumpet towards his music stand
