to really get some respect in psychology, you need to a PHD. then you will be called Dr. Jane, and will given your own office, and you will be qualified to give counseling, but as they said Bachelor in psychology, sociology, business etc is worthless.

A makeup/hair artist is pretty much a psychologist anyways. lets be honest ;p

Nice. I'm 18 and taking Psychology and double majoring in Health Promotion. I plan on getting my PhD though.

@creativejackie831 thanks I am actually debating between a masters in bioengineering or business in Harvard. which one might pay more?

A degree in Psychology is tantamount to a degree in Paranormal Investigations while the degree in PI would interest people more than a degree in psychology. I personally know many people with degrees in alternative fields of studies and they are making money investigating haunted houses, e.t.c. Look in your local newspaper at all the Psychics with their advertising $50-$100 an hour isn't bad at all. You'd be surprised at how much money Psychics make.

A psychology degree eh?
I'll have a quarter pounder with cheese and a strawberry shake please.
Yes I would LOVE fries with that.

You're seriously a sad person. I hope you grow up... someday... before the world ends.

This is untrue. I have a degree in Psychology and I've been Senior-level in 2 Fortune 100's and the U.S. Government, all business fields.
In reality, all degrees themselves are "worthless", it's the holder of that degree that makes the difference and adds worth to the education they've received.

@creativejackie831 is a degree in bioengineering useless?

@HerresKoolaid No it is not. I think any degree that you are happy with, is never useless. It is important to study what you love and want to do. I hope that helps. Hugs and love.
