WHY DOES NICKELBACK HAVE FANS?

On today's Rock it Out! Blog, I wonder how Nickelback continues to have fans. This week, Tastebuds.fm voted Nickelback the band that would guarantee you wouldn't have sex to if you're a fan. Then, Detroit Lions fans are petitioning to have Nickelback not play at halftime during the Thanksgiving game.

So with all the hate towards this band, how do they still manage to continue to get fans and sell albums?

@UnholyJF I think about that a lot to, and I think its just for more modern bands. For example, we all know Metallica is HUGE and no one rips on them (well, except for St. Anger and Lulu), same with RHCP. A think a good theory on why people hate Nickelback and Creed are the same reasons people hate Justin Beiber: They're all the epitome of mainstream music of their genres. It's a childish mindframe considering good music is good music, regardless of what bandwaggon haters say

People hate Nickelback for the same reasons anyone hates any musician: Their popularity. For some reason, it seems the more popular a band gets, the more people hate them. Don't believe me? Look at Justin Bieber: his music is good, but people hate him because of how popular he is. People think its cool to follow bands while they're not noticed, but trash and disown them the minute they start getting platinum records. Most hate comes from either metal elitists or people who wanna be "cool".

i used to like nickelback back in the day "somebody", "photograph", and "rockstar" were cool.......until they started repeating those 3 songs over and over and over again with each album they release to the point that they are now my most hated band of all time. F@Ck Nickelback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
