Massive explosion in Crysis on very high settings!

Thanks go to Crytek for making such a great game!

Basically there is a gas/petrol/fuel/highly explosive stuff station combined with a bunch of nice big red explosive barrels. Add a bullet or two and you can pretty much guess what happens next...

All video editing was done in Windows Movie Maker for anyone who cares...

The video was made in Vista with DirectX 10 on maximim settings.

My specs:
-Vista Home Premium
-AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ (2.8Ghz dual core)
-NVidia 8600 GT (No not the 8800 unfortunately :P )
-4 Gb of RAM - 660Mhz Dual channel I think... DDR2 certainly.
-That is pretty much everything important...

So not the most incredible system ever - but it is fairly well optimised and will run Crysis on max :) - and it only cost £500 from dell! (thats $1000 for you Americans)

Fwapper i have a question, how'd you think my core 2 duo 1.8 GHz, with 2 gig RAM and a 8400GS 256mb would do on crysis??

What resolution are you running Crysis at? I can only run on High settings with my rig... and I put an 8800GT in it. I run at 1440x900.

Get a Core i7, its owrth it. Also ATI HD 5970 Black Edition. COmbine with a good motherboard (Asus Rampage II Extreme f.e.) and at least 6GB of RAM and here u go...
