[Glasgow April 2010] - The Ferry used to be a great place to go for a gig but with all those stupid tables upstairs preventing folk - except a chosen few - from watching the gig, it really has lost that great atmosphere. More significantly, the bands observe this as soon as they enter the stage - now you need a 'REASON TO BELIEVE' . . . .
Anyway, " - Reason To Believe is the first single Wishbone Ash have released since 1989s Cosmic Jazz, and was recorded as a result of the Facebook group We want Wishbone Ash to release a new single!. This doesnt mean that theyve been on hiatus Wishbone Ash have always been more of an albums band, and a quick look at their discography reveals that over the years theyve actually released more albums than singles. This one opens with some urgent riffing that showcases the double guitar harmonies that Wishbone Ash are so well known for and, as it happens, the introduction is the best bit. While there is some impressive guitar playing that interjects at various points, the meat and bones of Reason To Believe is rather dull. In fact this song sounds almost exactly like a comeback single from a dormant classic rock band and the sad thing about that is that Wishbone Ash havent been dormant at all. "
Great wee recording mate. I see them twice a year at the venue and I agree with your coments about the tables Get them TF. My fav band of all time must have seen them abouy 80 times now since 1972. sad eh ?
