The difference between normal mini golf and Quantum Minigolf is that in Quantum Minigolf the ball obeys the laws of quantum physics, at the point where you shoot the ball it exists in many places at once inside the multi-colored blob. This creates a problem if you're trying to get one ball into one hole.
The solution to this is to collapse the quantum balls by observing them, in this case with a camera. The camera collapses all the quantum golf balls into a single ball. Where this ball gets collapsed to is determined (I assume) by probability. In other words if there are more quantum golf balls in one place then the ball has a better chance of being collapsed there once observed.
Otherwise its your basic get-the-ball-into-the-hole gameplay.

wow, that looks pretty hard to lose.

Hah, yeah it is actually really hard to lose. But the concept is really neat.
