Passing Gas Isn't Funny When it Comes to Smoking

When discussing the art of passing gas, humor is usually right around the corner. In this new spot from the American Legacy Foundation's long-running Don't Pass Gas campiagn, however, humor isn't in play. The passed gas that's being discussed here is hydrogen cyanide which is said to be found in second hand gas...uh...smoke.

now wait a minute i just saw this commercial on tv and i laughed so loud my neighbors called me to see wtf was so funny. now are they talking about farting in your own house or smoking or both cuz the girl looks constipated like she needs to drop a duce and she whips out a box of cigs? some one explian cuz im 99% sure the telling us the farting is dangerous. XD

I understand they want to associate smoking with passing gas, but I was maybe 12 when I saw this commercial and was convinced that my gas was toxic and going to kill everyone in the room with me. So, fail.

If you ever want to clear a room, eat Mc Donalds: egg, cheese, and sausage biscuit, plus a cup of warm whole milk. The egg combined with the yeast in the bread, plus the milk, will make explosive farts.

well they do call the end of a cigerate a butt and it does contain methane in it so I guess in a way your passing gas or sort of lighting a fart as it were.
