And yes, religion can be created and destroyed in an hour, and can be as much of a lie as it can be a truth. However, this doesn't suggest there is no basis for truth (either originally or in the background). It just means that people are liars and power hungry. Be wherry of religion, but don't write off God as being part of it.

I too have seen crafts in the sky and am interested in other life, but I have also seen some huge miracles from God. Don't be so quick to dismiss Him because of what someone says. Keep in mind that most people are dumb, no matter where they come from.

You are right that Christians can be pushy, but so can everyone else. I have often had Atheists yell at me and recommend literature when they disagree, it's just the way people are. Still, it is particularly prominent with Christians, because they think they have a responsibility to help people, even if they are not personally qualified to do so.

Who says they were immune? Do you know how many guards died? Or even how many German civilians for that matter? Why don't you research how many people died of typhus in WW1? As far as the stories, they are people seeking pity and profit, and have repeatedly been exposed as liars. onethirdoftheholocaust and codoh are great places to start your research.
