burst.net seems to have great pricing. how do you like them? do you recommend them? any experience with linode vps?

@kumquatsta burstnet seems alright. I really haven't used it all that much. I mostly use Linode, they are straight up fantastic. I've been dabling in a couple other "cheap" vps's and linodes backend interface is way better. Its worth the little extra I pay.

@peterjolsoncom thanks for the fast reply. i am seriously considering linode. i've come across jaguarpcs vps and they sell managed vps's starting below $20. any experience with them?
i've watched several videos on youtube on how to set up a linux vps, the command line/putty stuff seems a little daunting. is there any free gui software that can do the set up stuff, like before virtualmin comes into play?

@kumquatsta I don't have any experience w/ jaguarpc, sorry. As for the command line stuff. Thats kinda what you get yourself into when you for a vps. If you wanted to spend a lot of money you could get a truely managed vps where the hosting company will do much of the work for you, but this will cost you.
Usually if you stick with ubuntu, you will find crazy numbers of tutorials all over the web to help you. I would use ubuntu 9.04 or 9.10. Probably not 10.04 b/c of php 5.3
