I am french and I live in Paris so I pretend to know what Padam is: it is just the sound of the steps. Even if it sounds like paname (maybe it's done one purpose), it is different yet.

I would like to know the translated version of the song, Or what the song is about. in text, because the english version just cant compare with Piafs music unless it is sung in french, have seen alot of her songs with subtitles here on you tube but not of this song, so you shouldnt compare one artists version to another they are all done their way ll are good in thier own right
