The Democrats made at least one other "Ike/Bob" ad during the 1952 campaign.

It seems the practice of nominating popular figureheads to get the Republicans in office goes back a long way.

Also the fact that Taft was dead for 3 years in 1956....

John Sparkman was his running mate in 1952. "Let's vote for Adlai... and John!" gives away that this was from the '52 campaign.

@GusF For those of us who are used to seeing political ads that amount to mudslinging, they are lame.

Is that Mel Blanc doing the voice? I hear a little bit of Marvin the Martian, the Tasmanian Devil, and Porky Pig

As per Suprkit, it's got to be from the '52 campaign. The whole Ike/Bob thing is an allusion to Freberg's 'John & Marsha' from '51 (even Bugs Bunny quoted it) so it'd have been topical.

All of these Adlai Stevenson ads are awful they really are. They don't even show his face. It's ridiculous.

This is from 1952. "Bob", meaning Robert Taft, passed away in 1953 so this couldn't have been from the '56 campaign. Very funny ad though!
