@MrMark1722 Insulting him is probably one of the worst ways, you could have gone, and it made you look like a fool. There is a time 'MrMark1722' when it is wise to hold your tongue, and allow others their ways. Do you not see that maybe, just maybe, others know something that you might not? Do you believe you know everything? Sorry to say, but you do not. There are millions out there enjoying this hobby, and they just might know something you might not. Get it?

@MrMark1722 Oh.... good golly... I wonder what the correct way is. I'm shivering with mindless joy just thinking about it. I have to go with BowskinArchery on this one. Even if you are 'The Man' you're going about this like a tool.

@MrMark1722 By definition we trad archers all have our preference and will customize anything.. There is no right or wrong in trad archery.. There is only the way we as individuals prefer.. :) Thanks again for the vid.. Plus there are no masters in trad archers. We are students until we die. Always something new to learn.

Great job.. I need a new flemish twist and I'm going to use this exact method tomorrow to make mine.. Once twisted, waxed, and strung they hold there shape very well.. I've hand made 74" longbows with pecan wood (interlocking hickory), made bows using Formica as my backing, and even have my own horse bow jig now with exotic woods.. I love learning the new modern techniques. A little old with the new..

@MrMark1722 your refund is in the mail. in the mean time, feel free to post the "correct way" of doing this. I appreciate the positive feed back! Thank you! 30 years you say? that is quite some time, definitely trumps my 20 years. You Must be a master. maybe I should Recall the Hundreds of bows I have made and sold through out the years... Attention! Everyone! My strings look like crap, and this master is watching my video, not to learn , but to police my knowledge. wave and smile!!!

the concept is reverse twist. it relys on internal friction. twist a thread in one direction, then fold the ends together, they went to recoil back to original position. no as far as finishing, well you seen the plaited loop made, you just make one on the other end, or yes, indeed you tie a knot in the end to keep from unraveling, and then make a timber hitch, which is great for an adjustable string.

the technology is more advanced, but the idea is the same. not sure but if you ever heard of or seen a tool called a drop spindle? same principle, just lower rpms and longer time, sure beats carpal tunnel after a dozen bows! the jig was out of neccesity, got tired of stinging 80+ inches on the wall, that is a great way to condense it, even funnier when people see me doing that in public " is that a guitar?"
