Ummmm Maybe try to build the building AWAY from the eroding cliff is probably the best idea. What do you expect they are in Calif. You guys just need a 50' tall seawall and some fill. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine.

I don't think you are stupid. Stupid would mean that you didn't understand that erosion was happening right before your eyes. I think you are foolish. Because you do understand, yet you stay. It's not so far from logic to realize that an earthquake could come at any moment and that would be pretty much it, down your stuff would go into the ocean, or worse, people would die. Then you would be on the news, belly-aching and boo hooing. If you weren't dead, that is.

@AlvaroAndfriends The situation here is errosion, not climate change. Climate change is just another unsure term because global cooling and warming are used up. That's why alot of logical Americans feel and believe that climate change is a trojan horse for higher taxes. Climate change = Higher Taxes!

@ lancecowboy:
You made a good point but very little people are listening about climate change. Even if people say climate change is fake the reality is that everything we do on this earth effects the environments of animals life here on earth as well as the weather.
I live in new york city area and during the summer there's always smog in the air surrounding the city. I suffer from respiratory problems and i can breath better indoors then out doors.
Your absolutely right on that account.

I live in Pacifica and most of you are just being idiotic. Erosion has happened over a long time. To say were stupid and should just move is a little ignorant. We'll move when we have to, but in the meantime we have a job to go to and bills to pay like everyone else.

That's a sobering thought but you're probably right. Pretty tenuous spot to live.

Climate change will claim more and more shoreline. This is only the beginning.
Don't blame the residents. It's no different from living on flood plains near a river. People didn't know better ten, twenty years ago.
And they keep denying climate change. When will people wake up to the reality?
one tiny earthquake, that apartment will be gone
