This is a montage of film footage and audio recordings made by Doc Little, a jazz trumpeter and Sahara band member in the late 1970's. The Jack Eglash Orchestra was the "House" band at the Sahara hotel in Las Vegas. This band, as well as the numerous other house bands around Las Vegas, was full of great musicians and animated personalities who made up a significant portion of the shows that entertained visitors throughout the years. Show production was different back then. In that era the band was an integral part of the show who provided audiences with the greatest live music performances in the world, while serving as an interactive canvas with which the stars like Johnny Carson, Tony Bennett, Joey Heatherton, Don Rickles and many more interacted to create unique and personalized shows.
