Second of 3 video tutorials by Noreen Crone-Findlay on how to spool knit with 2 pegs to make a decorative flat braid .Noreen demonstrates how to do this with a Cordelia Cord maker and with a regular 4 peg spool knitter. The braid is quick and easy to make and works well in jewelery making or embellishing clothing or home decor.

  • Because of you I was able to ask the Knitting Board people if I could work a single knit instead of a double knit -- and was told that they are in the process of making a tutorial on just that!!

So, thank you for your two pegs -- and now I know for sure that the Knitting Board is more flexible than it was originally meant to be! LOL

  • @Marny5580 Wow! That's just awesome! I am so pleased! Hope you have a wonderful time with it! :o)

  • that sucks that some glittery yarns aren't comfortable.

  • @TheKittykat100

Perhaps you can try washing it a couple times- to remove the metallic/plastic parts?- or even hand wash it with some pumice?

  • @SignoroIncognito Washing won't change or soften harsh glittery yarns- some of them are harsh because of the edge structure of the glittery bits. They start out owee and stay owee....

  • @TheKittykat100 Yes, some glittery yarns are not suitable for wearing, as they feel like pot scrubbers. The yarn in the video is from Lion Brand. It's Vanna's Choice yarn and it's soft and comfortable to wear.

  • @Marny5580 I figured it out when I was an adult :o) At least you can enjoy it now- better late than never! :o)

  • I wonder why this wasn't learned by me when I was a child. Drats!

  • @TheKittykat100 It's great for jewelry making, as it is really soft and not scratchy. Some glittery yarns are not comfortable to wear.

  • cool i'll try that sometime; i have a spoolkitter. Also, i love that brown sparkley yarn, it looks like GLITTER!
