@mellado36 I know. My best friend ran off and joined the army.She was happy so we kept our sadness to ourselves. And ultimately I'm happy that she's happy.

@Susana1027 I agree. All they seem to think about is themselves they are not even considering that he's trying to make a career out of his talent. Selfish girl....Mary Ellen claims to love him but all she can think about is what she wants not what he wants or bettering himself. Silly girl.

If it weren't for his friends 'back home,' he'd have seen the unwelcome end of the hangman's noose by this time! Yet he sits at a fancy dinner table his 1st nite in a fancy-ass house & cold-heartedly cuts them all loose 'just like that?!! That's a bad omen for Roddy {& by Madeline's reaction}! His head is way too fat too soon!
