A common scene throughout European towns are sidewalk chalk artists that gain permits for a day to create amazing street art often as sidewalk chalk drawings in exchange for tips.

This artist was painting multiple scenes and characters from the movie Shrek. As you can see this 3d street art is often performed by professional artists or art students earning a bit of money on the side.

Always tip these street artists! Their sidewalk chalk art is simply amazing and is a nice touch in any town. This street art was filmed in Munich, Germany just before Oktoberfest 2010.
